Southington Nonprofit Has Wildly Successful Halloween Celebration

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local nonprofit recently enjoyed a very successful Halloween event for its clients.
The Arc of Southington, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, hosted its annual Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at its headquarters on West Main Street.

It featured creatively decorated trunks and pumpkins that delighted all attendees.
Throughout the evening, individuals enjoyed karaoke, entertainment by Valentine the Clown, and pumpkin painting activities led by the Southington Community Cultural Arts (SoCCA).

Generous donations from the Commission for Persons with Disabilities, who provided pizza, and the Town of Southington Veterans Committee, who contributed desserts, enhanced the festivities.
The event was further enriched by the participation of the Southington YMCA, Southington Community Services, Wheeler Clinic, and Bread for Life, each bringing treats and holiday cheer.
"With the additional support of the Southington Public Library, this special evening was a heartwarming success," wrote The ARC of Southington.
"The Arc of Southington is deeply grateful for the support of these community organizations, which enable us to continue delivering meaningful services and activities for the individuals we serve."
