Southington Nonprofit Seeks Volunteers To Help Elderly, Disabled
'UR Community Care' is looking for kind-hearted individuals to provide the elderly/disabled with companionship and help around the house.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local agency dedicated to helping seniors and the disabled with everyday tasks that can be difficult for them is looking for volunteers to help.
Called "UR Community Cares," the Southington-based nonprofit matches volunteers with clients to do various tasks that may seem simple to some, but they are difficult for many.
"Residents who want to lend a helping hand in Southington can help their neighbors with household chores, yard work, companionship, and transportation. We match volunteers with individuals who are lonely and isolated," wrote Michelle Puzzo, who is the executive director of the nonprofit.
