Southington Nonprofit Seeks 'Votes' To Aid The Food Insecure
The Southington organization can receive a $25 donation for every vote from Ion Bank customers, aiming for a share of up to $100,000.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A locally based nonprofit dedicated to aiding the food-insecure in Southington needs the public's "vote" as a means to enrich its coffers to help others.
Southington Bread for Life is participating in the Ion Bank Foundation Community Awards Program.

The program aims to distribute up to $100,000 to local non-profit organizations.
Each Ion Bank customer is eligible to cast one vote to help decide how these funds are allocated.

For every vote received, Southington Bread for Life will earn a $25 donation.
"This direct support helps the organization continue its mission within the community," wrote Bread for Life in an announcement. "Ion Bank customers are encouraged to take a moment to vote for Southington Bread for Life."
To cast a vote, eligible participants should visit the program's website at https://cap.ionbank.com/CAP/.
From there, voters can select Southington Bread for Life as their chosen organization. The deadline for submitting votes is March 2.
Southington Bread for Life stated that it only takes a minute to vote and that "it makes a meaningful difference."
The organization also expressed gratitude for continued community support, emphasizing that "collective efforts can lead to a greater impact."
