Southington Obituary: Beverly McKay, 84

Beverly R. (Fiveash) McKay, 84, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at the HOCC at New Britain. She was the loving wife of the late William Eugene McKay.

Born Dec. 16, 1931 to the late Rufus and Harriet (Abetz) Fiveash, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Beverly is survived by her two sons, William McKay and his wife, Barbara of Southington, Donald E. McKay and Nancy Levasseur of Southington and two daughters, Susan A. McKay of Plantsville and Janice E. McKay of Chesapeake, VA and 3 grandchildren; William McKay Rivard, Heidi Tata and her husband, Eric and Hope McKay Raymond and her husband, Clifford; 4 great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Nathanial; her sister Betty Ledoux of Southington and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert B. McKay and 2 sisters; Deanna Montague and Mary Lou Jewel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 from 4- 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home.
