Southington Obituary: Charles Dauphin, 93

Charles J. Dauphin, 93, of Southington, husband of the late Sophie M. Dauphin, died on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Bristol Hospital.

He was born in Malone, NY, February 24, 1924, the son of the late Edward and Eva (Hinman) Dauphin. He was a retired lathe operator of the Hygrade Tool Co. in Plainville. He was a member of the International Catholic Deaf Association.

As a young man he enjoyed boxing but his mother made him quit. He enjoyed outdoor sports, especially fly fishing and bow hunting.

Charles is survived by a daughter Gloria Dauphin and her domestic partner Marie T. Condenzio of Terryville, and two nephews. Besides his wife , he was predeceased by a brother Edward, two sisters Bea and Blanche.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 5 pm. Burial will be held later in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone, NY.
