
Dominic J. Arre, 91, of Bristol, formerly of Southington, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at HCC at New Britain. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Votino) Arre.
He was born Nov. 10, 1925 in Farmington the son of the late Vito Modesto and Maria Giovanna (Fralonardo) Arre. He had retired in the mid 80's from General Electric where he worked for 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force, during WWII from Mar.21, 1944 to May 14, 1946, overseas in the Philippines and the Island of Biak. Dominic was recalled into the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He served at Mitchell AFB. He also served as a Crypto Supervisor in the Azores (AACS), as well as a Crypto instructor at the A.F. Training School, Scott AFB in IL.

He is survived by his son David Arre and daughter-in-law Nicole of Bristol, a granddaughter Rosalie Beatrice Arre, his sister Marion Testa of Southington and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Grace Musto, Mary Cibula and Criscenza Mesite and 3 brothers, Thomas, Steven and Michael Arre. He was also predeceased by 2 sisters that passed away in infancy.
The Funeral will be held Tuesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery with Military Honors. Calling hours will be Monday from 5- 8 p.m.
