Southington Obituary: Dorothy Labbe, 72

Dorothy (Carpenter) Labbe, 72, of Southington, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 6, 2017, at Apple Rehab in Plainville. She was the wife of Emile J. Labbe , and just recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Dorothy was born on July 1, 1944 in Newberry, VT and was the daughter of the late Forest and Dorothy (Lamphere) Carpenter. Dorothy had attended hairdressing school and worked as a hairdresser for a short time, but was a homemaker to her husband and four boys.

Besides her husband she is survived by her four sons Gene Labbe and his wife Liz, Gary Labbe and his wife Janice and Kenneth and Keith Labbe, eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Ralph Carpenter, Dale Carpenter and Betty Dreisbach.

Services will be held on Wednesday January 11 at 7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 4 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
