Southington Obituary: Linda Decormier, 60

Linda A. Decormier, 60, of Southington, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1955 in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Armond Decormier and Irene (Fontaine) Combs. Linda graduated from New Britain H.S and received her BA from Springfield College. She was an academic supporter with the Roxbury program at Cheshire Academy for 20 years. She was passionate about working with her students.

Linda was a great sports fan and enjoyed the NY Yankees and UConn Girls basketball teams. She loved dancing, reading books but mostly spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters Jasmine and husband Angelo Aldi and Bethany Rose and husband Terry Martine all of Southington; her 3 cherished grandchildren, Harrison and Quinn Martine and Arianna Aldi. She also leaves her brother Ray and wife Franny Decormier of Berlin and sisters Joyce Decormier of Colchester, Carol and husband Joseph Balducci of FL and Grace and husband Richard Baril of Woodstock as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband George. E. Hemphill Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 10:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at Maple Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours will be on Thursday Oct. 6, 2016 from 5-7 pm.
