Southington Offices, Schools Closed For MLK Holiday

They will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local town and school facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The town announced this week that Southington Town Hall as well as the John Weichsel Municipal Center will be closed on Monday to commemorate the birthday of the slain civil rights leader.

In addition, Southington Public Schools will be closed for the holiday, giving children and staffers a three-day weekend.

Both schools and all town offices will be open for business on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
