Southington Patch Letter: Dawn Anastasio for Board of Education

SOUTHINGTON, CT — To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Dawn Anastasio for Board of Ed.

We first met Dawn when my daughter was in the Vo-ag program at Southington High School. Dawn invited students into her home where she had a local dog rescue. There she spent endless hours supporting and educating our young students in the care of dogs of all ages and breeds. Bathing, feeding and health care of pets are some of the aspects of pet care that she taught our young students while supporting their autonomy and independence. She made it her goal to make them successful in the program and beyond.

I believe Dawn will be a wonderful asset to the Board of Ed and support Southington students and families.
