Southington Patch Letter: Williams A 'Well-Rounded' BOE Candidate

SOUTHINGTON, CT — To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to recommend Jasper Williams for the Board of Education. I cannot think of a more well-rounded candidate for this position.

You will find Jasper in the boardroom by day, balancing multi-million-dollar budgets, overseeing large projects. Evenings are often designated for the softball field with his daughter, helping coach her softball team, or just hanging out with his son.

Jasper is an amazing leader, an amazing father, and just an amazing person, through and through. Jasper brings to the table close to 20 years of leadership experience, and a proven track record of managing $100 million-plus budgets.

I am excited to see Jasper get elected, as I want someone on our Board of Ed who can truly understand the town of Southington school budget, help us eliminate any waste, and create efficiencies which can lead to cost savings. As Jasper put it, "I know the importance of good stewardship and fiscal conservatism- especially when funding comes from the taxpayer. We must be accountable for every penny spent."

The town of Southington is lucky to have someone as smart and experienced as Jasper to want to volunteer his free time to help our youth while simultaneously advocating for our taxpayers.
