Southington PD Announces Several Promotions

Following a spate of retirements, the Southington Police Department has 10 within its ranks taking on new duties.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police have announced a recent spate of promotions with the Southington Police Department.

According to Southington Police Chief Jack Daly and the Southington Board of Police Commissioners, the promotions come after several retirements in the SPD.

The promotions were approved by the board during its May and June meetings.

The following promotions have been announced:

• Captain: James Armack and Nathan Boislard.

• Lieutenant: Justin Burke

• Master Sergeant: Matthew Hammell and Brett Leppard.

• Detective Sergeant: John Marenholz.

• Sergeant: Ken Kizilski and Neal Ayotte.

• Detective: Joe Izzo and Michael Locastro.

"Please join us in congratulating these officers on their well-deserved promotions and new roles," wrote the commission in a statement. "Their dedication to the community and leadership have been instrumental in enhancing our department's effectiveness and service to our residents."
