Southington PD Arrests Six for Alleged Halloween Assault

Three adults and three juveniles were arrested following an alleged assault of multiple people at a Halloween party.

Three adults and three juveniles are facing criminal charges after they allegedly assaulted multiple victims at a Halloween party in Southington, according to police.

The arrest warrant alleges that a victim was being assaulted and then another victim was also assaulted and threatened when he or she attempted to intervene. The incident took place on Oct. 31.

There were also threats made by the suspects after the incident toward victims and other witnesses.

The following people were arrested:

  • James Wernicki, 24 of Plantsville. Charged with tampering with a witness, second-degree assault (two counts), first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace.
  • Andrew D’Agostino, 18, of Southington was charged with two counts of tampering with a witness, second-degree assault, second-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace.
  • Darrell Hotham, 25, of Southington was charged with tampering with a witness, second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and first and second-degree breach of peace.
  • Three 17-year-old juveniles were charged with similar counts.
