Southington PD Honors Recently Promoted Officers
The ceremony on Thursday comes as the department has experienced several staff changes due to multiple retirements in recent months.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Police Department Thursday honored all of the police officers with new roles in the department.
The SPD hosted a special ceremony recognizing the officers, whose promotions came during a time of significant change at the department.
"Many promotions have been made over the course of the past few months as the department had undergone a restructuring and retirements were backfilled," wrote the SPD.

"We have the utmost confidence that those recognized yesterday will continue to serve both the Department and community with pride and integrity."
Those promoted this year were Det. Joseph Izzo; Capt. James Armack, Det. Sgt. John Marenholz, Capt. Bruce Boislard, Master Sgt. Matthew Hammell, Lt. Justin Burke, Master Sgt. Brian Leppard, Det. Michael LoCastro, Sgt. Neal Ayotte, and Sgt. Kenneth Kizilski.
