Southington PD's Ranks Grow By Two

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The ranks of Southington's police force officially grew by two with their recent graduation from the police academy.

The Southington Police Department Monday officially announced the completion of training Dec. 18 at the Waterbury Police Academy by officers Ryan Thayer and Morgan Cassiliano.

Both are now working in Southington to undergo field training before they can hit the beats on their own.

"We are excited to have them both begin this next chapter in their lives, and we welcome them wholeheartedly to the SPD family," wrote the department.

"We wish them luck as they transition into their next phase of field training."
