Southington PD's Self-Defense Class For Women Back In Session
The free, four-week program starts on Tuesday, Sept. 10, with slots still available.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Another, four-week session of the Southington Police Department's popular self-defense class for women starts next week and there are spots available.
The SPD's free course will take place on Tuesday evenings on Sept. 10, 17, and 24, as well as on Oct. 1.
They will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Calendar House on 388 Pleasant St., Southington.

"The four-week program focuses on providing women with a basic understanding of self-defense and safety information," wrote the SPD in an announcement.
Those registering must attend all four classes and athletic attire is recommended.

Space is limited to 20 and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
