Southington Pet Health Clinic Offers Low-Cost Vaccines, Exams

Southington's Aug. 14 pet wellness clinic will offer low-cost exams and vaccines. Registration is required by Tuesday, Aug. 11.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington pet owners have until Tuesday, Aug. 11, to register for a low-cost pet health and wellness clinic scheduled for Friday, Aug. 14, at Calendar House Senior Center.

Veterinary Care Everywhere will hold the clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Calendar House, 388 Pleasant St.

Participation is limited to 25 pets, and walk-ins will not be accepted.

The cost is $60 per pet for qualifying seniors and veterans and $100 per pet for other participants.

Payment must be made by cash or check.

The fee includes a wellness examination, rabies vaccination, basic deworming, and distemper combination vaccines.

Heartworm testing is also included for dogs.

Additional services, including nail trims and certain non-core vaccines, will be available for an additional fee.

All cats must be brought in carriers, and dogs must be leashed. Litters of puppies or kittens will not be accepted.

Owners seeking a three-year rabies certificate must provide proof of a prior rabies vaccination.
