Southington Pizza Chef Does Well At Competition

SOUTHINGTON — A local chef did well at the International Pizza Expo World Pizza Games in Las Vegas last month, the Record-Journal Reported.

Formaggio Apizza Ristorante manager Ace Memeti competed against 3,000 participants at the event.

He entered the quickest dough stretch competition, largest dough stretch competition and the pizza triathlon, taking fifth place in each event.

The triathlon consisted of stretching two pieces of dough and folding a pizza box. Memeti completed the triathlon in just under a minute.
