Southington Pizza Place Damaged by Fire
A burst pipe served as a sprinkler, officials said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local pizza place was damaged by fire Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The fire was called in by a passerby at about midnight at Townline Pizza, 1660 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, authorities said.
There were no sprinklers in the building, but water spewing out of a burst pipe actually helped contain the flames, authorities said.
