Southington Police Announce Daffodil Festival Road Closures
The closures are slated to begin in the morning, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Local police have announced road closures for Saturday for the annual Meriden Daffodil Festival.
The closures are slated for 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meriden–Waterbury Turnpike (Route 322) in Southington will be closed to eastbound traffic at the I-691 eastbound on/off Ramps to the Meriden town line.

From the point of the detour, all traffic will be directed onto I-691 Eastbound.
Several of the local roads between I-691 eastbound and the Meriden town line will also be closed to vehicular traffic during the time frame.

Police are asking motorists are asked to plan accordingly and make alternate arrangements to avoid the area during the specified timeframe.
Motorists can use East Johnson Avenue (Southington) onto Johnson Avenue. (Meriden) to avoid the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike road closure, police said.
