Southington Police Arrest Two For Breaking Into The Blackstone Pub
The theft took place in January, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Local police have arrested two people in conjunction with a January theft at a local tavern
On Jan 5, Southington police began an investigation into a reported burglary at the Blackstone Irish Pub, located at 1678 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, according to a news release. The theft took place that day at about 1:50 am., police said.
Entry was gained by prying open a rear door of the building, police said.

During the course of the burglary a digital jukebox and a cash register were pried open and about $500 in cash was taken, police said.
Several items were damaged during the burglary, including the juke box valued at $3,800, a digital card game valued at $1,200 and the cash register valued at $500, police said.

The total estimated damage was $5,500 as a result of the burglary, police said.
The Southington Detective Division took over the investigation in collaboration with Waterbury and Meriden police, according to a news release.
It led to arrest warrants being issued for Brian Chandler, 30 of Naugatuck, and Patrick Tomkus, 35 of Waterbury, according to a news release.
Both had already been in custody through the state corrections department, police said.
Both have been charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief, police said.
