Silva-Gomes was arrested Tuesday, police said, in New Britain Superior Court and is currently being held on $450,000 bond.

Southington police said the burglaries happened at the New Mill Restaurant between June and September of 2022.
They said Southington detectives were able to obtain a search warrant providing both DNA evidence collected from the scene along with location information for the suspect’s cell phone.
That phone information, according to police, showed the suspect’s phone had been within multiple locations in the immediate area of the New Mill Restaurant during multiple burglaries.
This combined evidence collected was found to match that of the suspect, sufficient for an arrest warrant, police said.
