Southington Police Kick off Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign
Local police have begun an extensive seat belt enforcement campaign.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Police Department has begun Click it or Ticket enforcement checkpoints and roving patrols tat will run between Monday and June 3 as part of the statewide Click-it-or-Ticket initiative.
The extra patrols are funded through State and Federal highway safety grants.
In addition to the safety belt checkpoints, officers are patrolling in marked and unmarked vehicles and will be issuing fines of $92 to anyone found in violation of the seat belt laws.
