Southington Police Kicking Off Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign Monday
It is part of the 2016 national Click-It-or-Ticket program.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Local police are scheduled to commence a wave of seal belt enforcement activities next week.
It is part of the 2016 national Click-It-or-Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign, which begins on May 23, police said.
"The Southington Police Department is joining with other state and local Law enforcement agencies around the country to help save more lives by strongly enforcing seat belt laws around the clock. Seat belt use saves thousands of lives across America each year and the Southington Police Department is helping spread the word through Enforcement and Education," Southington police said in a statement released Friday.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics show that seat belts saved an estimated 12,546 lives nationwide. This year’s Click it or Ticket enforcement mobilization runs from May 23 through June 5, police said.
