SOUTHINGTON, CT — A pot sale featuring a bad bill and a gun has led to an arrest in Southington, police said.
Police released the details of the April 18 arrest on Tuesday. That day, they arrested Raymond Cuevas, 24, of Meriden, on first-degree robbery, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment charges, a report indicates.
Investigators determined that Cuevas and another person were involved in a $20 marijuana sale in the Citgo gas station parking lot on Main Street, according to a report. At the completion of the transaction, the seller noticed the money "felt and appeared to be counterfeit," and confronted Cuevas, according to a report.

Cuevas then is accused of pointing a handgun at the seller and fleeing in a vehicle, according to a report.
The seller then gave police a vehicle description and a partial registration information and, a short time later, a vehicle matching the description was located and stopped on Bristol Street, according to a report.

Cuevas eventually admitted that he that he attempted to use a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for the pot, but denied having a gun or pointing it at the seller, a report indicates.
The firearm was not located in the home or the vehicle, police said.
Cuevas was arraigned in court on Monday after being held on a $75,000 bond. That was knocked down to $25,000 by a judge, but Cuevas failed to post it, court records indicate. He is due back in court on May 17, court records show.
