Poulos said his legislative priorities for this session are:
• Roadway Safety. He said he is advocating for an “I-84 Traffic Safety Corridor” initiative, which will raise awareness and enhance enforcement of highway safety laws.
"I’ve spoken with many residents concerned about safety on Connecticut’s highways,"said Poulos. "Since COVID, incidents of speeding and reckless driving have increased, making our roads more dangerous and leading to more accidents and fatalities.
• School Funding. Poulos said he will prioritize improvements in how the state funds special education.
"As a classroom teacher, I am eager to contribute ideas and input that come directly from schools, while working alongside my colleagues to improve how we fund our system of public education,” Poulos said.
• Support for Veterans. Poulos said he will continue to advocate for legislation that protects and
enhances their benefits.
"I am honored to continue to represent the 81st District at the Capitol," Poulos, a lifelong Southington resident, said. "I will keep working hard to improve the quality of life for Southington residents and all Connecticut citizens."
