Enjoy A Meal In Southington, Help Fallen Bristol Officers' Families
A Southington restaurant is one of four hosting fund-raisers Thursday night for the families of the slain Bristol police officers.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A popular local restaurant is hosting a special fund-raiser Thursday night to help the families of the Bristol police officers killed in brutal shooting earlier this month.
The "75 Center Street Bar & Grill" restaurant, located at 75 Center St., Southington, will donate 20 percent of proceeds for the families of the two fallen police officers and the policeman who was wounded.
"75 Center" promoted the event on its Facebook page this week.

The fund-raiser will take place from noon to 10 p.m., according to the Bristol Police Department's Twitter feed.
Bristol police Sgt. Dustin DeMonte, 35, and Officer Alex Hamzy, 34, were both killed in the Oct. 12 ambush, as was the suspect.

BPD officer Alec Iurato shot and killed the gunman despite being wounded in the leg himself.
He was rushed to the hospital that night and was released after surgery the following morning.
According to the Bristol Police Department, other fundraisers will take place at three other area restaurants on Thursday:
• 66 Church at 66 Church St., Naugatuck, from noon to 10 p.m.
• The Hub at 72 Church St., Naugatuck, from noon to 10 p.m.
• The Hub at 313 Main St., Ansonia, from 3 to 9 p.m.
20 percent of the proceeds at those sites will also be donated for the families of the officers.
