Want To Help Southington Children In Need This Holiday? Here's How

A total of 24 sites in Southington are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages for the holiday season.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Those in the giving spirit in Southington are being asked to hop onto the "Toy Express" and do some good in their community for the holidays.

The "Toy Express" initiative actually began Nov. 14 and it will continue through to Wednesday, Dec. 7 at several locations locally.

Essentially, Southington Community Services is looking for new, unwrapped toys for youths of all ages to benefit its clients who may be having a difficult holiday season in 2022.

Once collected, the town will distribute the donations to families in time or the Dec. 25 Christmas holiday.

A total of 24 sites throughout town are on the list where folks can drop off donations.

They include: Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St.; UFC Gym, 235 Queen St.; Liberty Bank, 60 N. Main St.; the Southington Chamber of Commerce, 31 Liberty St., Suite 210; and the Southington Care Center, 45 Meriden Ave.
