Southington Seeks Warm Clothing Donations

The town announced this week that it has set up multiple collection sites around town as part of 'Operation Stay Warm' for those in need.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington Community Services announced this week it is operating several collection areas in town for folks to donate warm winter clothing for those in need.

Part of "Operation Stay Warm," the department's ongoing effort to help folks and families as the weather turns cold, the initiative aims to collect coats, boots and gloves of all sizes for all ages.

"Your generosity will ensure that Southington residents of all ages will be properly outfitted for the upcoming winter season," wrote Southington Community Services.

As a result, drop-off locations have been set up at the following sites during business hours:

• Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St.

• Calendar House Senior Center, 388 Pleasant St.
