Southington Senior Center Project Goes Out to Bid

A construction manager has been retained.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Bids have been sent out for the project to construct s new senior center in Southington.

The plan is build a new center at 388 Pleasant St. to replace the current Calendar House. The estimated project budget is $9.2 million, according to town rercords.

The Town of Southington has retained KBE Building Corporation as the construction manager. KBE will
be coordinating the bidding process and manage the work.

KBE has overseen various projects in the area, including UConn's Next Generation Hall, the massive new dorm that casters to science, technology, engineering and math students.
