Southington Shopping Event To Benefit Those In Need

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington residents looking for clothing, shoes, housewares and other items at bargain prices can stop by the Calendar House this weekend for a community shopping event.

And, in doing so, they will help out their local community in the process.

Friends of Southington Community Services will sponsor its “Shopping With Friends” event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Southington Calendar House, 388 Pleasant St.

Shoppers will be able to browse a selection of new and gently used clothing, footwear, pocketbooks, housewares, and other merchandise.

Organizers said free refreshments will also be available during the event.

The Friends of Southington Community Services supports the work of Southington Community Services, which provides assistance and programs for residents in need.
