Southington Store Sells Massive Lotto Payout

A local man Friday turned a $10 scratch-off game into a life-changing windfall.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local man's visit to a convenience store in the Marion neighborhood of Southington has resulted in a nice windfall.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., a Southington resident won $100,000 playing a scratch-off game that was purchased Friday, Aug. 4.

The game was "Pinball Wizard XXVII" and it was bought at Sam's Quick Mart in Marion, 2211 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike.

According to lottery officials, "Pinball Wizard XXVII" costs $10 to play with a maximum payout of $100,000 — a profit margin of 10,000 percent.
