Let Southington Summer Youth Theater Entertain You
For three weekends in July, Southington rec's youth theater program is hosting special theatrical productions for folks to enjoy.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local residents are invited to enjoy an inexpensive night out and support the theatrical endeavors of local youngsters starting this weekend.
The Southington Recreation Department's Youth Summer Theater Program gives young people the chance to experience the excitement of showtime and the experience of theater.
And that culminates with three productions this summer that not only represent the culmination of their efforts, but provide a bit of light entertainment for the community.

Students will present the following show productions for the public:
- "Annie Jr." - Friday and Saturday, July 14-15 at 7 p.m. (DePaolo Middle School, 385 Pleasant St.)
- "Freaky Friday" - Friday and Saturday, July 21-22 at 7 p.m. (Kennedy Middle School, 1071 S. Main St.)
- "The Prom" - Friday and Saturday, July 28-29 at 7 p.m. (DePaolo Middle School, 385 Pleasant St.)
Admission for each show is $5 per person (all ages; general admission). Tickets will be sold at the door or may be purchased in advance at the Southington Recreation Department office, 388 Pleasant St., during regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
