Southington Takes Fifth In State Open Wrestling
The Blue Knights finished just a half point out of a tie for second Saturday.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Four Southington High School wrestlers placed in the top six of their respective weight classes, earning the Blue Knights fifth place in the CIAC State Open championships, which concluded Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.
Southington's total of 94.5 points was just a half point behind Bristol Eastern, Killingly and Fairfield Warde, who compiled 95 apiece. Danbury won for the second straight year with 149.5 points.
