Southington Teacher Admitted to Drinking Bottle of Vodka Night Before Incident
The high school teacher failed to appear in court in Bristol on Monday.

A Southington High School teacher charged with disorderly conduct for behaving strangely in a class admitted to the principal that he drank a bottle of vodka the night before, NBC Connecticut reports.
John Hansen, 47, turned himself into police on Dec. 9 after learning that there was a warrant out for his arrest.
According to police, the warrant stems from an incident that occurred at Southington High School on Nov. 6 where Hansen was acting strangely in a class and appeared to be possibly impaired.

Hansen’s face was red, his speech was slurred, he had difficulty walking and pushed a student out of class, the news channel reports.
The high school teacher was set to appear in court in Bristol Monday but he failed to appear and his case has been continued to Jan. 20, NBC reports.
