Southington Teen Charged in Underage Drinking Case

A teen was charged in an 2017 underage drinking case, Southington police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington teen has been charged in a case of teenage drinking, police said.

Police on April arrested Dariusz Zajac, 19, of Southington on an outstanding warrant for permitting a minor to illegally possess liquor.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in June 2017 during which he allegedly supplied liquor to other minors, police said.

He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Court on April 30, police said.

While being processed on the above charge Dariusz Zajac was found to be in possession of a fake Connecticut Operator’s License, police said. The license did not have a proper date of birth for Zajac and the operators number had no record in Connecticut DMV files, according to the warrant.

He was then charged with second-degree forgery, police said.

He is also dues in court 2nd and released on a $1,000.00 non surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on April 30 on that charge as well.
