Southington Toy Drive To Help Children's Hospital
Girl Scouts through May 4 are collecting toy donations at the Southington Public Library for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The local library is a collection point for a springtime toy drive by area Girl Scouts to help a children's hospital.
Their goal is to stock the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford with precious playthings to take their minds off why they're there.
Girl Scout Troop 67984 is collecting donations at the Southington Public Library, 255 Main St., through May 4 during normal library hours.

All donations will go to the state's largest children's hospital, which is located near Hartford Hospital in the capital city.
Items sought include bubbles; fleece blankets; stuffed animals; card/board games; arts and craft kits; infant/toddler toys; Barbie dolls/superhero action figures; Legos; and children's art supplies, among other items.

The collection started last Friday, April 9, with donations being collected at the library's reference desk.
