Southington Truck Involved in Fatal Crash

SOUTHNGTON/PLAINVILLE, CT — Monday's fatal crash on Route 72 involved a truck registered out of Southington, a state police report says.

The crash took place at 5:17 p.m. near Exit 1, according to a report.

Carl Nauss, 35, of New Britain, was driving a Dodge light truck when he went off the road, hit a light pole and careened down an embankment. He died after being taken to Hartford Hospital after the crash, state police said.
