Southington Unveils July 4 Holiday Weekend Impacts
The Fourth of July holiday is on Thursday, July 4, with municipal operations impacted over the long holiday weekend.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — With the Fourth of July holiday falling on a Thursday this year, how it impacts municipal operations in a given municipality is likely to vary.
Recently, Town of Southington officials announced their closings/operations schedule for the long holiday weekend. Included are:
• A Southington Town Hall and John Weichsel Municipal Center offices and the Calendar House Senior Center are closed with normal hours resuming Friday, July 5.

• The Southington Public Library is closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day. Regular library hours resume Friday, July 5, at 9 a.m.
"While the library is closed, you may still drop off items in our book drops," wrote the library. "Our digital resources, including the library catalog, also remain accessible through our website at southingtonlibrary.org."
