Southington Volleyball Ranks High in Coaches Poll

The Blue Knights opened the season with three straight shutout victories.

In a wacky week which saw eight different schools receive first-place votes, RHAM High School emerged as the pacesetter in the weekly high school girls volleyball coaches poll, as published by GameTimeCT.com.

The Sachems (5-0) were named first on 17 of 33 ballots to claim the top spot.

Southington (3-1) placed second, sweeping its first three opponents in straight sets before falling to RHAM Tuesday night.
