Southington Water Officials Call For Summer Rationing

Residents are being asked to follow a summer watering schedule.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - The Southington Water Department, is requesting that residents follow a voluntary water restriction program.

The reasoning, according to a news release, is, "in order to conserve water supply during the unusual warm weather conditions and lack of rainfall."

The Southington Water Department is requesting that customers limit the amount of outside water use and adhere to an odd-even watering schedule. In other words, properties with an even street number are watered on even days of the month and properties with odd street numbers are watered on odd days of the month.
