Southington Weekend Vehicle Burglaries, Thefts Being Investigated

A rash of thefts and burglaries took place in Southington over the weekend, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — "Numerous" vehicles were burglarized or stolen over the weekend, Southington police said.

The incidents took place primarily in the Southwest portion of Southington, police said.

Southington police said they are actively investigating the incidents and expect to have data compiled by the middle of the week, including surveillance images of possible suspects.

In the meantime residents are being reminded to lock their vehicles and be vigilant to anything or anyone suspicious in their neighborhood. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity can call police at 860-621-0101.

Anyone encountering an active crime should call 911 right away, police said.
