Southington Woman Accused Of Embezzling $125K: Report

The suspect, who is the exalted ruler of the Meriden Elks Lodge, is accused of embezzling more than $125,000 from a law firm.

MERIDEN, CT — A Southington woman, who is the exalted ruler of the Meriden Elks Lodge #35, is accused of embezzling more than $125,000 from a law firm in Waterbury over a five-year period, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Kathleen Botsacos, 49, was arrested earlier this month on charges that she embezzled from the Law Offices of Leonard M. Crone where she worked for 25 years.
