Southington Woman Falsely Reported Sex Assault: Trumbull PD
A woman told police she was sexually assaulted in the Trumbull mall parking lot, but the act was consensual, according to police.
TRUMBULL, CT — A Southington woman was arrested after she falsely reported being sexually assaulted, according to police.
Last year Hannah Pleines, 18, told police she was sexually assaulted by a man in the mall parking lot. Detectives investigated and found that Pleines and a friend orchestrated a set-up and that Pleines had consensual sexual contact with the man, police said.
Pleines was arrested March 26 by warrant and charged with giving a false statement, interfering with police and first-degree filing a false incident report. Bond was set at $5,000.
