Crisitello, who is known as "Isa" in the community, said she is humbled to receive the award.

According to an announcment, she reflected on her beginnings as a young girl in Puerto Rico to the milestone of being a successful female minority-owned business leader.

She came to the mainland from Puerto Rico at 5 years old and had to learn how to speak English.

“It is the strength of our diverse staff that brings value to our customers, as they are more likely to understand customer needs and are compassionate,” she said in a statement.

Southington Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Barbara Coleman-Hekeler said the award was well-deserved.

“Isa is being recognized for demonstrating a sound commitment to the Southington Chamber’s mission of promoting business growth and employee development," Coleman-Heckler said.

"Her contributions to the Chamber’s Women’s Leadership Network are so valuable and she inspires others both personally and professionally.”

In January, the company purchased a commercial building in Southington for $1.2 million, allowing the 12-person company expand and relocate from Prospect.
