Southington's 77-game Softball Winning Streak Comes To An End

A 2-0 loss to Fitch on Monday ended the streak.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington High School's 77-game softball winning streak came to an end on Monday with a 2-0 loss to Fitch, the Hartford Courant reported.

Not only had Southington won 77 games in a row, but its coach, Davina Hernandez, had won 55 in a row at the school and had never lost.

It was Southington's first loss since 2013. The Blue Knights had been ranked No. 1 in the state and Fitch No. 2.
