SOUTHINGTON, CT — The annual Apple Harvest Festival in Southington has been added to the ever-growing list of highly attended events to be called off for 2020.

The Southington Town Council Monday voted to call the event off for this year amid coronavirus safety concerns and a lack of direction on what the climate would be like, even as far away as the fall. The 52nd edition of the festival was scheduled for Oct 2 through 4 and Oct. 9 through 11.

A scaled-down version was ultimately rejected.
