Southington's Aug. 13 Primary Vote: What You Need To Know
Tuesday, Aug. 13, is Connecticut's primary day, with the entire state looking to finalize a GOP senate hopeful, among other races.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Election Day is in November, but before that potentially historic day, local voters have some work to do on Aug. 13 as the ballot needs to be finalized via primaries.
Throughout Connecticut, Republicans will be deciding the GOP senatorial hopeful looking to unseat U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.
In that primary race, Gerry Smith is taking on Matthew M. Corey for the right to oppose the insumbent.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, local polling places in Southington's nine districts will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the GOP primary.
Meanwhile, early voting is available Aug. 5-11 at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St., Southington, in the lower level conference room.

The early voting hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during business days, except for Aug. 6-8, where the hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
