Southington's Free 'Prom Shop' To Help Teens This Month

Southington Community Services offers free prom dresses, suits and accessories to local high school students.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The onset of March means prom season is rapidly approaching for Southignton's high school students.

And to help local youths prepare for the big day, Southington Community Services' popular "Prom Shop" now has three dates this month.

This is where teens and their families can stop in and help themselves to a full slate of dresses, formalwear, and accessories.

All items are donated by the community ... and they're all free to take.

The Prom Shop will be open on March 15, March 22, and March 29 (all Saturdays) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plantsville Congregational Church's lower level, 109 Church St., Plantsville.

All items are available at no cost for Southington residents and Southington High School students.

Guests are required to bring a license, state-issued picture ID or an SHS student ID.
