Southington's Good Friday Holiday Impacts Announced

Friday is Good Friday, with many municipalities recognizing the holiday that is part of Easter weekend.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — This weekend is another holiday weekend, with several Connecticut towns marking the Good Friday holiday as part of Easter weekend.

The Southington Town Hall and John J. Weichsel Municipal Center will close on Thursday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m.

Then, all town offices will be closed for the day on Friday, April 3, for Good Friday.

Offices will reopen as normal on Monday, April 6.

The Southington Public Library will be closed all day Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.

The library will resume regular hours at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 4.

While closed, the library's digital resources remain accessible with a library card at southingtonlibrary.org

Southington Public Schools are also closed on Friday, April 3.

The following week, Southington schools will have Spring Break, and schools are closed Monday, April 6, to Friday, April 10.

Classes return to normal on Monday, April 13.
